How can I keep sailing while studying abroad in Chile?
Really competitive sailor going abroad, trying to figure out how to get an in with the Chilean sailing circuit… any tips/advice?

Depends on the city. I guess it's Santiago. Anyways in Chile you can be on the beach in less than 3 hours from any part of the country, and the buss tickets costs no more than $3. We also have a few lakes where you can sail, but not sure if they are what you are looking for… search for the Lake Rapel or the Aculeo Lagoon, they are both close to Santiago.
Have in mind that the sea here is COLD and during winter is hard to do sea sports.
