Outward Bound Sail Boats “Trying” to row Under the Blyman Bridge. Gloucester, Massachusetts
Two Outward Bound Sail Boats "Trying" to row Under the Blyman Bridge against the tide in Gloucester Harbor. The first boat made it just under the bridge. Unfortunately they came to a standstill because of the fast moving tide. They both backed up to wait for the slack tide. Approx. 2 hour wait. 05/30/2009. GOOD TRY!

Wow I’m wiped out just watchin. Kind of like carrying a hose pack up 14 storys and finding out your in the wrong part of the building. He what make/model are the boats?
I’m surprised the attempted that. With twin 300hp engines in my boat, it can be a daunting task…! Exhausting work.
I can’t believe they tried this. I’ve stood there and watched boats going thru ( I like to watch them) and that current is so strong and fast. At least they tried I guess.
